John Matthew Upton is an information science professional that specializes in defining information architecture to support the end-user.  He has experience in a broad range of technical disciplines, including the creation of controlled vocabularies, taxonomy/ontology management, metadata schemas and faceted classification.

John Matthew also has extensive experience as an analyst.  He has performed QA regression and comparison testing, completed log analysis of no-results queries and has collaborated with developers to evangelize search strategy across departments.  Being involved in all phases of information management, from high-level strategy to the granularity of end-to-end testing, has given John Matthew the tools to understand the holistic impacts of addition, removal or restructure of data.

John Matthew holds a Bachelors of English from the University of Virginia.
