Mary Parmelee is a Lead Information Systems and Artificial Intelligence Engineer at The MITRE Corporation with 12 years of experience in model-driven systems engineering. Mary has served as a Technical Lead, Team Lead and Senior Advisor to many DoD and government agencies. She specializes in semantic engineering, semantic service oriented architectures (SOAs), systems engineering, process engineering, agile design and development, and enterprise information management. Before joining MITRE, Mary served as a Metadata Specialist and Web Developer at SAS Institute where she specialized in semantic engineering and global information management systems. Mary holds a Master of Science Information Science (MSIS) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a published book, journal and technical standards author; international conference/workshop speaker and recognized industry expert in semantic technologies.
