As an independent consultant, Theresa provides user experience knowledge and expertise to larger website, web-based software, and content management initiatives. Since 2000, Theresa has been an information geek, focusing on user-focused design with an emphasis on information structure and information interaction in that design. While working on projects, she employs a user-centred approach to improve communication between stakeholders, employees, and customers.
Theresa holds a Masters of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, in Comparative Religion. One thing her education has taught her: culture is the lens from which people seek, find, and share information.
Theresa is a member of the American Society of Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), and runs the Information Architecture and Content Strategy Vancouver Meetup group.
