Michael Upshall is head of business development at UNSILO, a Danish machine-learning software company that provides a wide range of AI-based tools for academic publishers and content owners.

 Michael has been working in academic publishing for over 20 years. He was co-founder with David Attwooll of  reference publisher Helicon Publishing, publishers of  the UK's first online encyclopedia, and has since worked with publishers implementing content enrichment and delivery, including TSO, The IET, CABI, and Cambridge University Press, as well as with software developers (Abacus eMedia) and not-for-profit companies such as JISC Collections.  He is the author of the book Content Licensing (Chandos 2009) and writes a regular blog.
