Heather has been creating and editing taxonomies for over 29 years and is currently the taxonomy manager at Northern Light, vendor of a KM/competitive intelligence/market research platform. Prior roles have included Senior Consultant at Enterprise Knowledge, Knowledge Engineer at Semantic Web Company, and Senior Vocabulary Editor at Cengage/Gale. Heather has also done taxonomy consulting through her business Hedden Information Management. She teaches workshops on taxonomy creation through various organizations, corporate training, and as an independent online course. Heather is author of The Accidental Taxonomist, 3rd ed, and has a blog of the same name.
