Dean Allemang is Principal Solution Architect at data.world, who strives to build the most meaningful, collaborative and abundant data resource in the world. With a background in Mathematics and AI, Dean has worked as an Ontologist since the earliest days of the Semantic Web. He worked for many years as a Staff Ontologist for the EDMC, building frameworks for testing and developing FIBO, the Finance industry Business Ontology, and has built enterprise knowledge-based systems in a number of industries, including finance, media and agrochemicals. He is passionate about democratization of data and support of data-driven society. Dean is author of Semantic Web for the Working Ontologist, now in its third edition.
